Duties
The incumbent serves as chauffer and assistant to the office manager. The incumbent drives passengers and/or deliver/picks up materials as required, provides administrative assistance to the office staff members through the execution of organizational responsibilities and tasks and with close working knowledge of the chief’s needs for information, operation methods and views of current problems related to daily decision making and work prioritization and ensures continuity and administrative operations in the absence of the office manager.

Requirements:
All candidates must be able to obtain and hold a medical and security clearance.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of experience in professional driving and administrative experience is required

Language:

Level III (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing of English is required. (this will be tested).

Level III (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing of Arabic is required.

Job Knowledge:

Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns and have knowledge of operational techniques of various types of vehicles.

Skills And Abilities:

Must possess a local second class professional driver’s license that’s valid. Must be able to act independently with minimal supervision.

Agency Benefits:
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Cairo/ Egypt may receive a compensation package that may include health, end of service benefits, insurance, and other benefits.

Per a special and temporary authorization, the salary is currently denominated in U.S. dollars and paid in EGP at the applicable rate of exchange according to the State Department Payroll Office’s official international currency exchange rate. When the conditions are met that the special and temporary authorization should be removed, the salary scale will revert to denomination and payment in EGP, as previously authorized.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
