We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller/Manager to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation for TAQAs investment in Mozambique. The Finance Controller/Manager responsibilities will also include assessing commercial viability of new investment opportunities, biding on new projects, and negotiating contract terms.
Responsibilities
·Manage all financial accounting operations
·Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
·Prepare financial statements and other required reporting packages in a timely manner and report them to the management team.
·Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
·Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
·Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
·Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
·Manage and comply with local, and state government reporting requirements and tax filings.
·Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
·Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications
·Bachelors degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance.
·5+ years of experience as a Financial Controller/Manager.
·International exposure, preferably in Africa.
·M&A experience (including working on SPAs) is a plus.
·Advanced degree in accounting; CPA or CMA.
·Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
·Solid and strong accounting and reporting skills.
