Job Description

 

SME & Mid-Market Pricing

  • Prepare allocated supplies on SME & Mid-Market portfolio accounts for pricing by checking termination status, current company/credit status, metering situations and various other factors which affect the ability to conduct a full market quote
  • Submit terminations in appropriate time and ensure acceptance
  • Retrieve a wide array of pricing for meters using our 35 suppliers via matrices and bespoke prices
  • Create analysis’ of these rates to propose to the client including all information and answer any queries or questions posed by clients regarding the rates and terms proposed
  • Conduct credit checks before securing contracts/proposing options
  • Communicate clearly with clients throughout the process
  • Update CRM system with the status of current tenders/tasks and when new contracts are secured

 

Contract Negotiation/Agreements

  • Secure contracts when agreed upon by clients
  • Ensure the supplier has all information required to ‘lock in’ the rates
  • Handle Bank details with confidentiality when setting up direct debits
  • Monitor the process until the supplier has confirmed the contracted rates have been secured, keeping the client updated throughout the process
  • Assistance to the customer take on team when any issues arise for contracts

 

 

Queries and Key Account Management

  • Be the first point of contact for a selected number of Key Accounts
  • Be the first point of contact for any queries or energy questions your Key Accounts may have
  • Act as an ambassador for your Key Accounts when liaising with suppliers or third parties, putting their interests at the forefront of your actions
  • Keep clear records of the supplies contract status and any issues/queries, providing consistent, succinct updates to your Key Accounts
  • Provide relevant and up to date energy advice to Key Accounts, including making suggestions for process improvement to ensure Dr Cost’s service to Key Accounts is tailored to their particular needs
  • Build and develop a positive, trusting relationship between Dr Cost and your allocated accounts
  • Liaise effectively with other departments where necessary ie. COT Administrator/Pricing Department in order to fulfil Key Accounts’ utility needs, overseeing processes where other departments are involved, ensuring that any changes to your Key Accounts’ contracts or supplies are in line with your Accounts’ needs and requirements.

 

General

  • Complete tasks such as database checks and data entry tasks as instructed by senior management or the Director
  • Provide ad hoc training and assistance to newer and more junior team members

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in account management, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to client needs.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and managing virtual client interactions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and account management tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights to clients.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client requirements and business priorities.
